The way God carries out His purpose is seen in 2 Timothy 3:16 which says that “all scripture is God-breathed.” This indicates that the essence of the Holy scriptures is God’s breath.

When we come to the Bible with our human spirit by praying over the Word and not just by using our mind to try to understand it, we begin to strike the Spirit in the Word with our spirit. In this way God imparts to us what He is as the Spirit by us receiving Him in the Word. This is so satisfying to us and also to Him because it gives Him a way to carry out His purpose through imparting Himself into us.

Romans 8:16 says ” The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.

It’s important to see and understand what our human spirit really is. One factor of it is that it’s the deepest part of our being that longs for God. This verse shows that the Spirit witnesses with our spirit which shows that these two spirits are actually one. The witnessing is that we are children of God and so we see that we can be one spirit with our Lord.
