In the book of Numbers, 12 spies from the tribes of Israel entered into the land of Canaan and saw their enemies who were possessing the land which was promised to the children of Israel. Their enemies were stronger than them and their cities were large; this intimidated 10 out of the 12 spies. However, Caleb said that they were well able to overcome them. He possessed a different spirit.
Today, the Christ whom we’ve received is the reality of the good land. Colossians 2:6 says for us to “walk in Him” whom we’ve received. He is ours to fully possess and inherit, but we need a fighting spirit in order to overcome every barrier and obstacle that hinders us from enjoying Him. We should be those who take the kingdom of the heavens by violence (Matt 11:12).
